I know this post is a bit unusual, but when we have a good thing we like to share! We wanted to let you in a hidden gem – The Peach Truck. You may have seen ads on Facebook about a truck that comes around town and you can order delicious peaches picked fresh from Georgia trees.
The founders, Stephen and Jessice Rose missed those Georgia peached they enjoyed as kids growing up in Georgia peach county, when they moved to Nashville. They had a great idea to partner with a Georgia peach farmer, fill up their truck and bring peaches to Nashville where they were now living. They started delivering peaches to Nashville residents, and the company grew from there.
The peaches come just picked, a hint from ripe, and need to sit for about 2-3 days to be perfect. Their growers practice eco-friendly farming, with no GMOs and although not 100% organic, they are minimally treated.
The prices are not super cheap, but I assure you it is worth it. $45 for 12 lbs equates to about $3.75 per pound, but they are far better than anything you will get from Kroger or Meijer. I caught a sale where 12 lbs. were selling for $22, so I ordered 2 cases, 3 weeks apart.
12 lbs is a lot of peaches. Share them with your friends, family, co-workers. You can even freeze them for smoothies or cooking later.
